Yin and Yang is a theoretical method for observing and analyzing phenomena, a means to generalize the opposite principles which may be observed in all related phenomena within the natural world. Yin and Yang both oppose and complement each other. Because they are opposites, they control each other. Both Yin and Yang are the condition for each other’s existence; with no Yin, there is no Yang, with no Yang, there is no Yin. They support and consume each other quantitatively, they transform into each other qualitatively. They are infinitely divisible, without separation. There is Yin and there is Yang, always. Every light casts a shadow, this is the universe. Light and Shadow, Yang and Yin, are equal. Let each opportunity be balanced by its requisite opposition. Create harmony, lest you be a disease.
